- 70 carriers are used for a single test sample. Each carrier is inoculated with the test organism.
- In the next step, 60 carriers contaminated with test microorganisms are exposed to the test product for specific contact times and the remaining 10 are kept as untreated controls.
- At the end of contact time, treated carriers are immediately transferred to a recovery medium enriched with neutralizing compounds.
- Recovery medium is then incubated for a comprehensive qualitative assessment of any potential growth that may still be present after disinfectant treatment.
